Kishor Das (1991-2022) was an Indian actor, model, dancer and former IT engineer who worked primarily in the Assamese entertainment industry. He is known for his work in Assamese dramas Bidhata (2019), Bandhun (2020) and Nedekha Fagun (2021). He passed away on July 2, 2022, at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after battling cancer for about a year.

Kishor Das passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 30, at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. He had been suffering from cancer (stage 4) for about a year and had been undergoing treatment at Health City Hospital, Chennai since March 2021. According to some media reports, he also contracted COVID-19, as a result of which his health deteriorated and he died. His last rites were performed on July 2 in Chennai. Following his untimely death, many popular film, television and political figures paid tribute to his passing. Assamese actress Meghranjani Medhi shared a picture of Das on her Instagram account and wrote in the caption:

In her post, she also mentioned that Kishore was a great actor in their fraternity who fought till his last breath. She further wrote that Kishore will be one of the brightest stars in the sky and the Assam entertainment industry will miss him. Assam politician Atul Bora also took to Twitter to express his condolences over Kishore’s death. He tweeted,
Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of famous actor Kishore Das. I visited him while he was undergoing treatment in Guwahati. I didn’t expect him to leave us so soon. I pray to God for the peace of his soul and offer my condolences to the bereaved family and friends. “
A few weeks before his death, Kishore shared a photo of himself in the hospital on Instagram. With this post, he updated his fans about his health condition. He wrote,
This is my fourth cycle of chemotherapy. You might think this would get easier, but unfortunately, it doesn’t. These days, I suffer from many side effects, including fatigue, nausea, dizziness, weakness, vomiting, and more. I can’t even take other medications without asking my doctor. You know, reality has been different since the stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis, especially during chemotherapy. “
