Kishore Jena is an Indian javelin thrower who has competed in various national and international competitions. He became popular after his visa was canceled in August 2023 ahead of the javelin throwing championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Kishore Kumar Jena aka Kishore Jena Rinku was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1995 (age 28; as of 2023) in Kothasahi village in Brahmagiri area of Puri district in the Indian state of Odisha. His zodiac sign is Virgo. He has been interested in sports since he was a child and used to play volleyball more than javelin. He later tried to get admitted to the sports hostel in Bhubaneswar to participate in volleyball; however, he did not have any volleyball certificate to show, so he showed his javelin throwing certificate in a match in Cuttack, after which he was admitted and Started javelin throwing training in 2015. Bramagiri High School, Puri. He later completed his graduation from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.

In 2015, he moved to Bhubaneswar Sports House and trained under Nila Madhab Panda. He joined the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in 2016 and moved to Bhopal to continue his training under Rupanwita Panda.
He later started training under coach Samarjeet Singh Malhi at NIS, Patiala, where he made remarkable progress. After throwing the javelin over a distance of 80 meters for the first time, he was surprised by his progress and said he didn’t think it was possible. He later broke many national and international records.

- Kishore Jena’s visa was canceled ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, after which Indian gold medalist Neeraj Chopra took to Twitter to request Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar Help Jena. It was later reported that Jena had been granted a visa in time for further competition.
