Krishna Kumar Kunnath was born in Delhi on Friday, August 23, 1968 (age 53; time of death). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He attended Mount St Mary’s School in Derry. KK proposed to girlfriend Joshi Lakshmi in 10th Standard. In an interview, he revealed that he sang “Pyaar Deewana Hota Hai” for Joshi at the annual function in the colony. Talking about the same thing, he said,
Our time mom dad bhi baithe hote the, toh aise direct bhi nahi ho sakte the, toh beech beech mein teen chaar baar steal kar liya gaate gaate”

Before venturing into the music industry, he worked in the marketing department of the hospitality industry for a while before moving to Mumbai. After several attempts to break into the Bollywood music industry, KK got a chance as a singer and showed his demo tape to Louis Banks, Ranjit Barot and Lesle Lewis in 1994. Soon, he was freed from UTV and began his own music career. He sang a one-minute song for Santogen Suitings.
He has sung more than 3,500 songs in 11 Indian languages, including Yo Frooti and Pepsi’s Yeh Dil Mange More. KK also lent his voice to the song “Josh of India” in support of the Indian cricket team during the 1999 Cricket World Cup.

KK was introduced as a playback singer with the songs “College Style” and “Hello Dr” composed by AR Rahman in the film “Duniya Dilwalon Ki” (1996), a sequel to the Tamil film “Kadhal Desam” ( 1996) in Hindi dubbed version. KK has also lent his voice to the Telugu versions of these songs. On May 31, 2022, he died of suspected cardiac arrest upon arriving at the hotel after performing at the Nazrul Mancha Auditorium in Kolkata. According to reports, when the singer arrived at the hotel around 10:30 pm, he complained of feeling unwell and was subsequently taken to the city hospital, where he was pronounced dead. However, the Kolkata Police registered a case of unnatural death. He reportedly suffered injuries on his face and head, so an autopsy is planned to be conducted at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata to ascertain the cause of death. He was cremated at the Visova Indian Cemetery in Mumbai.
