Kody Brown sees a brighter future for Christine Brown in monogamy.
The patriarch of the Brown family seemingly reluctantly blessed Christina’s new marriage during Sister wives: one on one episode Sunday night. The segment was filmed before Christine married David Woolley in October. In context, Kody claimed that Christine never tried to commit to his last of four wives, Robyn Brown.
“She was his sister,” he said, also claiming Christine “never tried” and “never been there.”
He thought about her newfound interest in having only one partner. “She will probably, and I hope, be a very good wife for David.”

In next week’s episode, Christine will introduce Woolley to Sister wives audience for the first time. Although he’s been on her Instagram for a while now, Christine seemed giddy at the idea of the “love of my life” appearing on screen.
For Kody, Woolley’s presence comes with the memory of why Christine decided to leave her plural marriage (the decision played out like dominoes, eventually seeing Janelle and Meri Brown also walk away from the TLC family.)
Christine reflected on her marriage to Kody throughout the event One on one conversation — not all happy.
“Christine has to destroy my character,” Kody said. “Or David doesn’t feel like he can marry her because she left a good man.”

David married Christine in a “sexy, elegant” wedding in Utah earlier this year.
“It’s a fairy tale,” Christine told PEOPLE exclusively at the time. “That’s all I thought I’d have. I go to the altar to David, he just looks at me the way he does, it’s a dream come true.”
More teases for next week’s episode Sister wives: one on one including Christine who said she “dissected my relationship with Robyn”. “Her personality type likes drama,” she said.
In turn, Robyn cried, “I don’t know how to let this go. And I’m not just being dramatic, thank you, Christine.”
