The Cardinals selected Wong 22nd overall in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft. In 2013, Wong was selected by manager Mike on the Cardinals’ playoff roster. Wong then made his professional debut in Hawaii. He was the fourth best prospect in the Cardinals organization. He was also selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game in 2012.
