Kourtney Kardashian ‘Over the Moon’ About Son’s Birth After Pregnancy ‘Took a Stressful Turn’ (Exclusive)

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is “stressed” about the birth of her baby son.

Earlier this week, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the Lemme founder, 44, and husband Travis Barker welcomed their first baby together.

Now, a source tells PEOPLE that Kardashian Barker is in love with being a mom to a newborn again. (She shares sons Reign Aston, 8, and Mason Dash, 13, and daughter Penelope Scotland, 11, with ex Scott Disick, while Barker, 47, is already father to son Landon, 20, daughter Alabama, 17, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya , 24, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.)

“Kourtney is thrilled with the arrival of her son,” says the source. “Her pregnancy was stressful towards the end.”

“She is happy that she can now cuddle her little son,” they add The Kardashians star. “She feels so blessed.”

Kardashian Barker and Barker — who tied the knot in 2022 — revealed they would be welcoming a baby boy during a gender reveal party in June.

The rocker then spoke about his son on the show One Life One Chance with Toby Morse podcast late last month.

As for Barker, a source tells PEOPLE that he is “still amazing,” noting, “He brings her favorite, healthy foods to the hospital.”

“He makes sure she has everything she needs. He’s obsessed with their son,” the source adds.

Travis Barker revealed the name and due date of a baby boy with pregnant Kourtney Kardashian

Kardashian Barker first broke news of her pregnancy in June while holding a handwritten sign at her husband’s Blink-182 concert.

Weeks before welcoming their baby boy, Kardashian Barker addressed the “medical emergency” she underwent after emergency fetal surgery. Sharing a photo of her hand entwined with her husband’s on Instagram, the now mother of four opened up about her terrifying situation.

“I will forever be grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she began her caption. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from the tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.” “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I was not prepared for the fear of being rushed into emergency fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear,” Kardashian Barker continued. “I totally have a new understanding and respect for moms who had to fight for their babies while they were pregnant.” She concluded, “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy safe and sound was truly a blessing. 🙏🏼🤍.”
