The Laguna Beach The alum, 37, wowed fans after debuting her new relationship with the 24-year-old in February while the pair were in Los Cabos, Mexico. During Tuesday’s episode of her podcast Let’s be honest with Kristin Cavallari, has finally opened up about how she ended up in the Mexican hotspot with the Montana Boyz member – complete with a “sweet” gesture he made towards her.

Referring to Estes as “Montana” throughout the episode, she explains, “Montana and I hung out a lot and then he came with me to Mexico.” She reveals that it was originally a work trip for her jewelry line, Uncommon James, and the pair ended up spending “six days straight” together.

Continuing to swoon over her new boyfriend, Cavallari recalls the moment she realized “how cute this man is.”

“So we’re in Mexico, it’s our first night there and I’m getting ready for dinner and he’s like, ‘I’m going to the ATM,'” she begins. After he returns from his job, the couple is about to head out to dinner when Cavallari notices a “huge vase” outside their villa.

“We’re walking out and he’s like, ‘Oh my God, did you see that lizard?’ And I said ‘no, what?'” she recalls. The mother of three jokes that at the time she thought he was going to pull the lizard out of the vase.

Instead, “He pulled out a bouquet of flowers and gave it to me,” she explains. “I was blown away by the thought because he could have gone and brought me a bouquet of flowers and just brought it into the room and given it to me. But he hid them. He made up his own little story. Like the whole thing was so cute.”

Cavallari first went public with her relationship with Estes in late February when she posted a photo of the two on Instagram. “He makes me happy 🤍,” she captioned the post. The former college football player later re-shared it on his Instagram Story along with two hearts.

The Very Cavallari star then debuted Estes’ social media in an adorable TikTok of the pair sharing a PDA in Mexico.

In response to the criticism she received over the 13-year age difference between her and Estes, Cavallari took to social media again to shake off the haters in a TikTok video. “When everyone is complaining about me dating a 24 year old. Andddd?” she wrote the recording.

The reality star was previously married to former NFL player Jay Cutler until the couple split in 2020 after 10 years together. They have three children – sons Camden (11) and Jaxon (9) and daughter Saylor (8).
