Kuldeep started playing cricket at the age of thirteen. His domestic team is Madhya Pradesh. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler. His coach is Ariel Anthony. In November 2018, he made his debut for Madhya Pradesh in a Test match against Tamil Nadu in Dindigul and lifted the Ranji Trophy. In the tournament, he took a total of 7 wickets in the Elite B third round match against Punjab, two of which came in the second round, and was the Man of the Match.
He made his T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy debut for Madhya Pradesh against Mumbai in Indore on 24 February 2019.
He made his debut for Madhya Pradesh Group A in the 50-match match against Tripura in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 September 2019. In February 2022, he got a chance to play in the IPL after being purchased by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. The auction price is Rs 20 lakh.
