He is known for his roles in Tamil films like Vaazhkai Chakram (1990) and Nadigan (1990). He died of a heart attack in a private hospital in Quilon on October 17, 2023. He is 71 years old.

Kundara Johny made his acting debut in 1979 at the age of 23 in the Malayalam film Nithya Vasantham. In the film, he plays a 55-year-old character. In the same year, he appeared in the Malayalam film “Kazhukan” and in 1980, he starred in the film “Karimpana”. He went on to appear in many Malayalam films such as “Angachamayam” (1982), “Vendum Chalikkunna Chakram” (1984) and “Kireedom” (1985). Apart from villain roles, he has also appeared in many other films such as Samooham (1993), Saivar Thirumeni (2001), Roudram (2008), Konthayum Poonoolum (2014) and Popcorn (2016). His last film was Meppadiyan (2022), in which he played the role of Jacob.
