Kylie Kelce Says It’s ‘Not My Cup of Tea’ to Be in the Spotlight as Kelce Family Fame Soars

Kylie Kelce is still adjusting to the increased attention on her family’s life.

Kylie, who married Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce in 2018, has become the subject of much interest on the Internet and among sports fans over the past year. From bringing two OBs to the Super Bowl while heavily pregnant in February to her brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s new relationship with Taylor Swift, all eyes are on Kylie, 31, and Kelce’s crew — and she’s not exactly familiar with the territory.

“It’s not my cup of tea to be in the spotlight or in front of the camera,” she told local outlet Spectrum Sports KC in Kansas City on Sunday after leading a field hockey clinic for kids.

She shared that she “was a communications major in college,” so her comfort is more on the other side of the camera.

“I love being behind it, it’s my bread and butter,” she said, before adding that fame can be useful in some cases, such as drawing attention to the charity field hockey clinic she hosted on Sunday. Then, attention is valued because it “creates opportunities.”

“I’m so happy to be able to give back to Kansas City in this way,” Kylie said of the clinic.

The mother of three – who shares daughters Bennett, 10 months, Elliott, 2, and Wyatt, 4, with Jason, 36 – also told the newspaper about her plans for Monday night’s game between the Eagles and his brother’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I just hope we have enough people in the ballpark saying ‘Go Birds’ that we get my husband’s first win against the Kansas City Chiefs in his career,” she said. “He is 13 years old, we have a deadline.”

Donna Kelce shared a meme about Travis’ date with Taylor Swift and Jason who became the sexiest man alive.

The Philadelphia native also spoke with Spectrum Sports KC about her reaction to Jason being one of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive men of the year, a title he’s joked about widely online and on his podcast.

“I mean, I knew this, I knew this all along. That’s not news to me,” said Kylie about her husband’s sexiness.

“But it’s funny to see these things come up because at the end of the day, he’s still tucking little kids in at the end of the night and they call him on kid duty.”

While the attention can be overwhelming, life at home is still the same toddler-infused chaos it’s always been for the couple, who took PEOPLE behind the scenes of their family Christmas card this year.

“Jason and I definitely, it’s definitely a joint effort to wrangle our kids. Everyone’s getting up to grab whoever we can, to make sure we can keep them as close as possible,” Kylie said. “We’ve had a few dog photos this year which just adds a whole new level of challenge.”

Kylie also opened up about their upcoming Thanksgiving plans, as she shared, “I love Thanksgiving. I love that it’s a time to get together with family and eat delicious food, so I always want to give it the focus it deserves.”

As for when she’ll focus on Christmas, she said, “I’m strictly a post-Thanksgiving kind of girl.”

“The day after Thanksgiving – it’s very merry in our house.”
