While Kylie and Jason Kelce’s daughters may not remember their dad’s time in the NFL, there are a few things the mom of three hopes they stick with.
Kylie, 32, appeared on Monday’s episode Today, where she shared that while her three daughters – Wyatt Elizabeth, 4, Elliotte Ray, 3, and Bennett Llewellyn, 13 months – may be too young to remember Jason’s time playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, she hopes they understand how important he was in the city.
“I think ultimately it’s not about them remembering that he played football, it’s about all the lessons he learned from football that he can take with him,” Kylie said.

Kylie Kelce Reveals Her Family’s Plans (and Who Will!) Cheer for ‘Uncle Trav’ at the Super Bowl (Exclusive)
The proud mom went on to say that her children are too young to understand why people approach their dad and want to take pictures with him.
“But I hope they eventually realize that their father had an impact on Philadelphia in a healthy way and that he understood the city enough to want to stay there and raise a family,” she added.
“He gave his blood, sweat and tears to the city and it was out of pure love and dedication. And I hope my girls see that.”
Speaking to PEOPLE in February, Kylie revealed that she doesn’t take her daughters to every football game, adding that they hadn’t planned for their girls to come to the Super Bowl to cheer on their uncle Travis Kelce in person.
“I think it’s a little controversial, but even during regular season games, I don’t take the girls to every game. They’re still very young,” she explained. “A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming and it is three of them. It can be hectic, it’s just a lot.”
She added that taking them to a public event requires a decision as to whether it is best for them.
“I love doing things that set them up for success. The thought of traveling the country with them [while] Jason will be very busy, and putting them in a possibly stressful environment is not ideal,” she explained. “We think they will be much, much happier to see Uncle Trav on TV because it will be easier for them to see him and cheer him on.”
“The goal of the day is just to root for the Chiefs and make sure we’re rooting hard enough that Uncle Trav feels the energy and can carry it onto the field.”
