Kylie Kelce Talks About the First Time She Met Travis Kelce

Kylie Kelce hits the brother-in-law jackpot with Travis Kelce!

While Kylie admits it took a while to get to know her husband Jason Kelce’s younger brother, she says she heard a lot of good things about him before that day.

On Friday, June 14, the 31-year-old mother of three was a guest on Sterling Holmes’ Stacking the box show. While there, Holmes asked Kylie about first meeting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34.

“Jason and I were together for a long time before I met Travis,” she told Holmes. “I’m talking at least through the entire football season.”

According to Kylie, the delay in meeting the brother and sister of the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center came about because their football schedules didn’t match up.

She said it wasn’t until both brothers were in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl that she finally got the chance to meet the person she had heard so much about.

“It was a complete immersion in the Kelce pool because I had never been on vacation with the Kelce family, and it turned into one,” she recalled. “So we had the whole Kelce family together, which is rare, but I received months and months and months of Jason talking to his brother.”

All the while, Jason, 36, couldn’t contain his pride, telling his wife “what an amazing person” Travis is.

Jason would also mention “how kind, generous and loving the NFL player was.” And as Kylie said, Travis “indulged” all the pleasant things Jason said.

“He’s funny, he’s the best uncle and an amazing brother-in-law,” said the former field hockey player.

The Kelces are a close-knit family with two superstar athletes as siblings — both have won Super Bowls with their teams, and one of them is dating a global pop star.

Earlier this year, their mother Donna Kelce spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the wild ride as they learned to navigate new heights of fame.

“It’s been a really surreal and fun ride,” Donna told PEOPLE in January.

“Being able to be with my kids — experiences, places, enjoying people I’ve never met before. And I am very happy that I can enjoy the fruits of my labor, because it is so [been] tough ride to where they are now.”

She added that her boys bonded at an early age, in part because they had no relatives to play with.

“My brother didn’t have kids, and my husband’s sister didn’t either,” Donna told PEOPLE. “[Jason and Travis] yelled at me because they had no relatives to play with on Christmas. We were closely related, always trying to help each other as much as we could.”

“They are each other’s biggest fans,” she said.
