Lady Gaga Says Her Upcoming New Music Is Unlike ‘Anything That I’ve Ever Made Before’

Lady Gaga is ready to return to the music scene.

During a Q&A at the premiere of her new HBO concert in Los Angeles, Ball Gaga Chromatica, on Thursday, May 23, the 38-year-old singer opened up about plans to release new music. (The star teased the release of “LG7” during the last minute of his latest concert film.)

“I’m in the studio every day. I’ve written so many songs, I’ve produced so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything I’ve ever done before,” Gaga said.

“I like to break genres and I like to explore music,” she continued.

Gaga’s upcoming release will mark her latest album Glory (2008), A glorious monster (2009), Born this way (2011), Artpop (2013), Joanne (2016) and Chromatica (2020).

The winner of 13 Grammys also worked on albums in collaboration with Tony Bennett — in 2014. Cheek to cheek and in 2021 Love for sale — and collaborated extensively on A star is born soundtrack that accompanied the 2018 film of the same name.

In recent months, Gaga has shared photos and videos of herself in the studio, seemingly working on her next project.

In February, Gaga shared a post that showed her leaning over a piano. A month before that, she posted a picture of herself from the recording studio.

For the Q&A portion of the event, Gaga wore a black look that was completed with a structured lace jacket and an eye mask.

The new film follows Gaga’s 2022 Chromatica Ball tour, which stopped at Dodger Stadium, where she performed hits like “Just Dance,” “Poker Face” and “Born This Way” to a sold-out crowd of 52,000.

Ball Gaga Chromatica premieres Saturday, May 25, at 8:00 PM EST/PST on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
