Lainey Wilson may have found her happily ever after in boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges!
The country star and Hodges have been dating since 2021 — and if she has anything to say about it, this could be the year she says “I do.”
In an interview with Bunnie Xo on CMT, Bunnie asked to throw a New Year’s Eve event and said she hopes Wilson, 32, and Hodges, 28, get married.
“No pressure bro! No pressure,” Wilson replied, making a comically impatient face. “I might have to propose to him. We are waiting!”
To this Bunnie replied, “No, Duck will do it. I could feel it,” and Wilson was pleased with the response, replying, “I like that.”

The couple first met through mutual friends in Nashville, and made their red carpet debut at the 2023 ACMs.
“I said, ‘We’ll see if you’re in it for the right reasons.’ Turns out he is,” Wilson told PEOPLE about initially keeping his relationship a secret. “Someone said it was funny watching him high-five all my artist friends at the ACMs, and I said, ‘Those are his friends!’ He will FaceTime me and will be with HARDY and Morgan [Wallen] and Luke [Combs]and I say, ‘Stop stealing all my friends.’ He will always be out playing golf and drinking beer. I don’t have to convince anyone that I like him. He is a very nice person.”

Lainey Wilson on the secrecy of her relationship with Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges: ‘It worked for us’
The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer said Hodges, a former NFL player who now works in real estate, is a major songwriting inspiration and called him “one of my biggest cheerleaders and champions.”
“Duck is the type of guy who high-fives me on the way in and high-fives me on the way out and says, ‘Go get it,'” she told PEOPLE. “He knows how important this dream is to me. I was never able to write love songs, because I don’t know if I really felt it, but now I write some love songs to myself. I am grateful for him.”
Meanwhile, Wilson, who performed on New Year’s Eve LIVE: Nashville’s Big Bash on CBS, also told Bunnie that her happiest moment in 2024 was being accepted to the Grand Ole Opry in July.
“I feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be,” she said. “So many things to celebrate. So if 2025 is anything like 2024, it will be another hell of a ride.”
