Lainey Wilson considers her romantic relationship “sacred.”
In the title story with Boardcountry star, 31, opened up about her relationship with Devlin “Duck” Hodges — who she went public with at the ACM Awards in May 2023 — and what she chooses to keep to herself.
Wilson sought guidance from Dolly Parton, whose relationship with husband Carl Thomas Dean was largely private during their 57-year marriage.
“When it comes to me and Duck’s relationship, there’s going to be some things we can’t get away from and people are going to say and do whatever they want, but me and him are on the same page about the less we bring up, the less we have to deal with. to people making things up and saying anything,” she told the publication. “We want to keep it as sacred as possible between me and him, and so far it’s worked for us.”
Artist “Jolene” (78) also spoke of her admiration for Wilson in the article.
“In this business, like any other, you have to make sacrifices and compromises to get things done,” Parton said. “But I believe Lainey, like me, will never sacrifice her principles and values for a dollar bill.”

Wilson has been dating the former NFL player-turned-realtor since 2021, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until two years later when Hodges accompanied Wilson to the ACM Awards in May 2023, where they made their red-hot debut the carpet.
Speaking to host Bobby Bones about their private relationship, the Grammy winner said Hodges is a “good guy” who has “been around for a while.”
Wilson added: “But I’ll tell you, he’s as good as gold. He supports me, he’d never stand in the way of anything I’m trying to do.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, the “Dirty Looks” singer talked about how much her other half’s support meant to her: “Duck is the type of guy who high-fives me on the way in and out and says, ‘Go for it.’ He knows how important this dream is to me.”

Lainey Wilson will open Bell Bottoms Up in the former FGL House bar in Nashville
On Thursday, May 9, Wilson announced her fifth studio album, Whirlwindsharing the news on Instagram with the cover.
She captioned the post, “This has been my life for the past few years. I hope this record brings peace to your ‘whirlwind’ and wraps your arms around you like it did me while writing and recording it. August 23. Pre-order and save now!”
In addition to her upcoming album, the “Dirty Looks” singer will open Bell Bottoms Up, a three-story restaurant and bar in Nashville and will star in a Hulu special Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Countrywhich will air on May 29 — just two days before her Country’s Cool Again Tour kicks off on Friday, May 31.
