The moment left the “Hang Tight Honey” singer-songwriter with a few thoughts. “First of all, I was like, ‘Why in the world would you buy a ticket and then spit on someone?'” she recalled. “But also, there are bad people in the world. Also, they could just be drunk and just being silly.”
One specific element of the incident was particularly “weird” for Wilson, who added: “I saw it come through the air. It was like I made eye contact with spit and it just fell on me and I was like, (sings ) ‘I have a heart like a truck.’ That’s how I felt.”

The country star, who is currently on tour in support of his new Whirlwind album, she is quite good at handling unexpected moments during her concerts.
During a July 20 performance at the Faster Horses music festival in Brooklyn, Michigan, Wilson suffered a wardrobe malfunction and split her pants before quickly changing into another pair for the rest of the show.
“You just got a real show,” she said of her gaffe. “A real show!”

As Wilson went on with the show, she understandably couldn’t stop thinking about what happened. “You can’t make that up! I never would have known if my people here hadn’t seen it,” she said. “There’s a first time for everything, and I’m glad I pulled your pants in front of you.”
A day after her concert in Michigan, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer was still joking around on Instagram, sharing a video of herself squatting in the pants to try them on.
“adding this to my pre show routine so my pants don’t rip like last night on the faster horses,” she wrote in the caption.
