Lainey Wilson Shares Rare Video with Boyfriend Devlin 'Duck' Hodges: 'Nowhere I'd Rather Be'

As long as Devlin “Duck” Hodges is by her side, there’s no place Lainey Wilson would rather be!

The 32-year-old country singer — who prefers to keep her relationship with Hodges, 28, private — just shared a rare glimpse into the couple’s family life, complete with a sweet lyrical nod to the former NFL quarterback.

On Wednesday, October 9, Wilson shared a video of the couple on Instagram with a soundtrack clip of her song “4x4xU”.

Taking the title of the song very literally, the recording shows Whirlwind a singer sitting next to a soccer player-turned-real estate agent in the lead vehicle.

The singer-songwriter filmed the pair, who wore matching hats as they drove through rough forest terrain, in the car’s rear view mirror as the chorus of the love song begins in the background.

“Nowhere I’d rather be / Than in a 4×4 next to you, baby,” her voice sang over the recording. “NYC to LA / city to country / from here to Kalamazoo.”

In the caption, Wilson reiterated her affection for Hodges by repeating the lines “ain’t nowhere I’d rather be” and tagged him.

“I hear the guy is ready for duck season,” the retired athlete joked in the comments – and reposted the video to his Instagram Stories.

Wilson’s sweet video of the couple comes shortly after she opened up about their relationship while speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in August.

During the interview, the Grammy winner told Lowe that she “finally found a guy who gives me money.”

“He’s my biggest cheerleader,” she continued. “He’s just a good person. And he knows how important it is to make a dream come true because even when he was little, football was his life.”

The hitmaker also reflected on how the couple — who have been dating since 2021 — met while Hodges was still playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, “but then everything changed.”

It was “weird,” he recalled of the time. “It was like his life was changing as my life was changing and we were going in different directions.”

The “Heart Like a Truck” singer also described their relationship dynamic as a “whirlwind” — the title of her 2024 album, which features “4x4xU.”

“I mean, it’s not normal,” she said. “We don’t see each other as often as some couples, but we also know that what we have is very special.”
