Lainey Wilson Shocks Fans by Foregoing Bell-Bottoms for a Gown at NYFW — Until She Does a Big Reveal

Where Lainey Wilson leads, her bell bottoms will follow.

The “Heart Like a Truck” singer, 32, is so devoted to her favorite pants that she even packed them in her suitcase for New York Fashion Week, where she attended Carolina Herrera’s spring 2025 show.

On Sept. 9, the Grammy winner joined the star-studded front row in a striking floral jumpsuit accessorized with a striking navy belt and gold drop earrings.

The design featured a sleek plunging neckline and was made from a wind-catching fabric that accentuated the flared pant legs, which were so flared that it looked like Wilson broke her own rules and wore the dress to the event.

In the photos taken at the exhibition, Yellowstone star — posing with Liza Koshy and Chloe Fineman — looked like she was wearing a dress with a flowy skirt, which would be shocking since Wilson’s wardrobe is mostly bell-bottoms.

Speaking to PEOPLE about her jewelry collection with Kendra Scott’s Yellow Rose, she even joked, “a lot of people have never seen me in a dress.”

Sitting front row at Carolina Herrera was a big deal for Wilson, who took to Instagram to share how much the show by one of her favorite designers meant to her.

“I wore @carolinaherrera to last year’s #CMAawards red carpet, and on the morning of the 2024 CMA Awards nominations, I’m going to my first #NYFW fashion show, with none other than Carolina Herrera of course,” she wrote.

Last November, Wilson hit the carpet in a sleek black Carolina Herrera strapless jumpsuit made with a bodice bow and super-ruched pant hems.

Of her nominations for the Nov. 20 Country Music Awards, which were announced on Sept. 9, Wilson added, “You never know what’s next! Thank you @cma. It is an incredible honor to be nominated in each of these categories. And congratulations to all my friends. Watching you guys win turns me on.”

Wilson is up for entertainer of the year, female singer of the year and single of the year with “Watermelon Moonshine.”
