Lana Del Rey does not “like” some of the rumors that follow her throughout her career.
In an interview with The Sunday TimesThe “Ride” singer, 38, talks about her “wealth” rumors and a 2012 story. Guard which referred to her father as a millionaire, which she denies.
“It’s crazy if you say something that’s tabloid-psych untrue about me, but I can’t get the words out? Congratulations! You’re going to destroy the way people listen to my music,” Del Rey said of how such claims affected her The Sunday Times.
She added: “I don’t need positive feedback. But you can’t just make things up.”

The pop star also addressed claims that she grew up rich in October deleted Instagram post.
“I want to make this video really short and sweet, just because it keeps talking about me coming from money and my family having money…” she began the video.
Referring to her hometown of Lake Placid, New York, she said it’s “not a rich town” and said she was only able to go to a private boarding school because of the “financial aid” she was offered because her uncle was an office worker.
Del Rey also claimed that she struggled in school because other students knew she didn’t come from money and was nicknamed the “White Trash from Lake Placid.”
The singer also recalled how her parents regularly fought over money and how her father, Rob Grant, worked as a carpenter to keep them alive. She claimed that his financial success came much later after he joined an internet domain development company.
According to Del Rey, it wasn’t until she was 26 — after her music career took off — that she finally had a semblance of wealth. She also explained that when she performed at Saturday night live In 2012, she lived in a hostel in New York.
In the comments of the now-deleted post, Del Rey said the concept of Lake Placid and wealth is a “new phenomenon.”
“We had absolutely no money… that’s the little story the news liked to assign me,” she wrote in one comment from a now-deleted Instagram post. “I grew up in a mountain town in a small house, and we struggled just like everyone else in a town of 900, there’s no other truth than that… there are people who are famous, who grew up rich — I’m not one of them.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Del Rey opened up about having a family, saying she has “more to explore” in her life.
“That’s why God hasn’t given me kids yet,” Del Rey told the publication. “Because there is more to explore. I know people who have tested every water. It burned them, like Icarus. But I’m willing to go there.”
The musician added that she eventually sees becoming a mom, adding: “I can see it coming. We’ll see. We’ll see what melts the wings.”
