According to Vibe, Laura sought help from Iyanlo: Fix My Life on Saturday to deal with the toxic conflict between her and her ex Gilbert Arenas. But as she cried and talked about her dysfunctional marriage, she admitted that she believes her sister had an affair with him.
“We started dating and it was great, but then I introduced him to my family and before long it all went wrong, very quickly,” she added. “I think he was close to my sister,” the speaker said.
The former Basketball Wives star is standing her ground, but her mom doesn’t think that’s true. Her mother told Iyanla, “I don’t think so,” and she added that she had discussed the allegations with Gloria.
Laura revealed in the episode that the cause of her grief was her father’s absence and lack of support in her life, along with her belief that her sister played a role in destroying her relationship with Arenas. She did not believe him when she revealed a very private incident from her youth in which a family member of hers sexually abused her.
She admitted to Iyanla: “My life hurts with the men I’ve had in my life: my father [and] my ex.”
