PAUL SCHOLES was hit by Laura Woods after his screen gaffe.

The Manchester United legend, 48, was on pundit duty for TNT Sports at Old Trafford as his former side took over FC Copenhagen.

But somehow he managed to break his microphone live on air with a hilarious mistake.

And that prompted host Woods to step in and come to the rescue – before jokingly telling Scholes.

After asking Scholes a question and realizing his microphone was down, Woods seamlessly and immediately handed her microphone to Scholes to speak into.

He followed up perfectly with his answer – audio recorded from Woods’ microphone.

When he finished, she joked: “Stop breaking the microphones… what are you doing?”

A not-so-impressed Scholes then pretended to drop the bad mic, prompting laughter from Woods and Rio Ferdinand.

Fortunately, Scholes’ microphone was fixed when they returned from the commercial break.

The trio have been doing their pre-match preparations for United’s crucial Champions League clash.
