Lauren Sánchez’s 3 Children: All About Nikko, Evan and Ella

Lauren Sánchez’s life is sweeter with Jeff Bezos and her three children: Nikka, Evan and Ella.

Sánchez became a mother for the first time in 2001 when she welcomed her son Nikko with her ex-boyfriend, ex-NFL player Tony Gonzalez. After the two separated, Sánchez married her now ex-husband, businessman Patrick Whitesell. Sánchez and Whitesell celebrated the arrival of son Evan in 2006 and daughter Ella in 2008.

Bezos — who began dating Sánchez in 2019 and proposed to her in 2023 — went on to have four children of his own. The entrepreneur had three sons and one daughter with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. Although Bezos keeps his children out of the spotlight, he and Sánchez have worked hard behind closed doors to become one big, happy family.

“They’ve been together for four years now, so their families are really mixed up at this point,” an insider told PEOPLE in 2023 after the couple was spotted vacationing with Sánchez’s oldest child, Nikko. “Their families are very close.”

While Sánchez keeps the lives of her younger son and daughter private and confronts social media, she uses Instagram to provide a little insight into their family values, like philanthropy.

The family shared an “incredibly moving experience” serving lunch to children at a Mexican shelter in August 2023. “With my own children, we came together to make delicious meals, cakes and share backpacks full of games, stuffed animals and essentials,” she shared on Instagram.

Sánchez’s oldest child, Nikko, was born in February 2001, and although the broadcaster split from NFL tight end Gonzalez soon after, the couple remained friendly while raising their son together.

Nikko comes from a large family — he has two siblings on his mother’s side, three siblings on his father’s side, and will soon have four more siblings on Bezos’ side. Despite the large group, Nikko didn’t try to stand out.

He shares a special bond with both parents: When Nikko isn’t joining Gonzalez on the red carpet for movie premieres, father and son take part in daring activities together, like skydiving.

For his part, Sánchez often praises his son on social media. “You make life an adventure and I’m so happy to be a part of your journey,” she wrote in an Instagram post for his birthday in 2023. “I’m so proud of you and love you more than you can imagine.”

Nikko recently started his career as a model and his mom had a front row seat when he graced the catwalk in Spain. “Simply a proud mom,” she captioned the video on Instagram in January 2024. “It was such a gift to watch my son @nikkogzz walk the runway for @dolcegabbana in Milan. Congratulations, my love.”

The newly married star also has a nice relationship with her stepfather-to-be. “Nothing better than this,” Sánchez wrote alongside a photo on Instagram, in which she posed with her beau and her son when they went on vacation together.

Evan Whitesell, 17

In August 2005, Sánchez married Hollywood agent Whitesell, and the couple welcomed their first child together, son Evan, almost a year later in June 2006. PEOPLE then confirmed that he was born in Santa Monica, Calif., at St. and weighed just under 7 pounds.

Sánchez and Whitesell finalized their divorce in late 2019 and reached an agreement that included joint physical custody of Evan and his sister Ella.

Although Sánchez tries to protect Evans’ privacy, she shares some updates about his life on social media while keeping his face hidden.

In November 2021, she posted a photo of herself kissing her son and hugging her daughter while looking out over a mountain landscape, captioning the photo: “I love these precious moments.”

In 2022, she gave an insight into the mother-son trip they took to Japan with Evan. “Making memories in Kyoto with my son,” she captioned the video, which shows them walking hand-in-hand, visiting temples and gardens, and enjoying a boat ride.

Ella Whitesell, 16

Sánchez and Whitesell welcomed their daughter, Eleanor Patricia, aka Ella, in January 2008. Sánchez’s brother, Michael Sánchez, shared the exciting news with PEOPLE, adding that “Mother and daughter are doing well.”

Michael also revealed that the little one’s nickname — Eleanor Patricia — is a combination of the names of Sánchez and Whitesell’s mothers.

Sánchez keeps her teenage daughter off social media, but gave her a sweet greeting on her 16th birthday in January 2024, displaying the memory in a photo.

“I can’t believe you’re 16 already,” she wrote. “It seems like yesterday I took this picture of you. In your quiet strength, you grew, not with loud fanfare, but with the gentle grace of the sunrise. Every day you show us the beauty of commitment and the power of quiet dreams.”

“We love you for everything you are and everything you will become. I love you beyond words,” added the mother of three.

Sánchez also revealed that her daughter and sons took flying lessons – a first passion So you think you can dance the host has for years.

“Life can be so chaotic with so much going on,” Sánchez said The Hollywood Reporter about her love of flying. “Lift up and you are in an energy space where no one else is. It calms down. When I’m up there, I’m completely satisfied. I said, ‘This is where I need to be.’ ”
