After graduating, Lauren went on to work at the Conservatory Theater of the Pacific in Santa Maria, California. In the following years, she made her stage debut in “Arsenic and Old Lace” and “The Happiest Fella”. Tewws also joined the Birdcage Theater Company at Knott’s Berry Farm. She made her television debut in a commercial for Lipton Ice Tea in mid-1974.
