The next day, Adeboljo was charged with Lee’s murder, two counts of attempted murder of police officers, and possession of a firearm. While, on the other hand, the other suspect Adebowale was discharged from the hospital on May 28 and transferred to a south London police station. He was also charged with counting Rigby and possession of a firearm.
The BBC reportedly reported that Adebowale is serving a 45-year prison sentence. On June 3, 2018, Adeboajo said that he regretted the act and apologized for the first time.
