Stevie Mitchell reconnected with his son Billy earlier this year and has been desperate to patch things up between them.

Played by actor Alan Ford, the character has been estranged from his son for two decades.

EastEnders fans recently watched as he was wrongly accused of stealing Lola’s charity money, before being knocked unconscious by his grandson Will.

But now it looks like Stevie will get Walford.

In the upcoming scenes, Billy decides to throw a surprise party for Stevie at The Vic and explains to Will that Stevie and his long lost mum, Val, had the same birthday and he doesn’t know where his mum lives.

Stevie later breaks the devastating news to Billy that Val tragically passed away years ago.

Since Billy is a broken man, Stevie begs Billy and Teddy to listen to him and apologizes for everything he did before he planned to leave Walford.

After a confrontation with Phil, Stevie asks Mo to do him a favor.

Phil is furious when he discovers his car is missing and calls the police.

Stevie asks Billy if he can say goodbye to his grandchildren.

Is this the end of Stevie Mitchell? EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 8 July on BBC One and iPlayer.
