Lenny Kravitz and Zoë Kravitz make a modern father-daughter duo.
The stylish musician, 59, and the actress, 35, hit the red carpet together while attending the 3rd Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Wearing all black with some futuristic shades, the “American Woman” singer topped it off Big little lies star’s elegant copper brown floor-length dress as they posed for photographers.
Zoë sported short bangs with her hair pulled back and clutched a black clip to accentuate her polished look. Her father, meanwhile, was dressed in a bare-chested tuxedo jacket and appeared to be carrying his black bag with his arm around his daughter.

Following in the style icon’s footsteps, Zoë — who is the daughter of actress Lisa Bonet — was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2022 CFDA Awards last year and credited her parents for guiding her to find her own expression.
“Both of my parents are people who have always marched to the beat of their own drums and embraced their individuality,” she said in an interview with Byrdie then she added that they taught her to listen to her body and take care of her skin.
The first-time director’s beauty routine also relies on embracing her truth. “Doing your own thing is part of what makes people so beautiful,” she explained. “When I see someone being unapologetically themselves, it always shines through.”

In 2020, Lenny spoke to PEOPLE about his close relationship with his daughter and how much he adores her.
“Zoë and I have a very open dialogue,” he said Let love rule the author shared. – We can talk about anything and everything.
Roker added that his late mother and grandfather had a very close relationship when he was growing up, to the point where he thought it was “ridiculous”, but now he has come to appreciate a similar relationship with Zoë.
“They loved and appreciated each other,” he said. “So when I see the relationship between Zoë and me, I see the relationship between my mother and my grandfather. It makes me very happy that we’ve risen to that level.”

Expressing how proud he is of Zoë, who recently got engaged to Channing Tatum, according to multiple sources to PEOPLE, he says she has forged her own path.
“She really did it herself,” he said. “At school she never told people who her parents were. She would make me pick her up down the street. Some kids might have used that to their advantage, but that wasn’t her style.”
He added: “She’s done an amazing job. I know my mother is very proud of her – not just her achievements, but her demeanor, her attitudes, the way she’s done what she’s done and the kind of human being she is. ”
