Lenny Kravitz is officially on TikTok!
The “Fly Away” artist took to the social media platform in spectacular fashion on Saturday — sporting fall-colored clothing and the best accessory of all: a giant brown scarf!
But it’s not just any joke. It is that scarf. You know the one.
“Grab your big scarf, it’s the first day of fall,” the legendary rock and roller, 59, said as he walked towards the camera in his first TikTok broadcast.
The A shotgun wedding actor paid tribute to his 2012 photo that feels like the gift that keeps on giving.
Over a decade ago, paparazzi photographed Kravitz while on an innocent getaway and his choice of warm clothing was forever cemented in internet history. The photo immediately became meme-like and continues to be meme-like more than a decade later.
In 2018, Kravitz was still being asked about it.
During an appearance on the channel in September 2018 The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonthe talk show host playfully mentioned the viral meme of the “American Woman” hitmaker.

“I can’t get away from this,” Kravitz began jokingly. “I live in the Bahamas, I’m used to hot weather and I had to go to the grocery store, I was buying some groceries and I thought I’d put on a little scarf to protect my throat, and that’s the scarf I had.”
“But Lenny, this isn’t a scarf, it’s a blanket!” Fallon replied, 49.
“That was the day I thought I was going to post it, and I had no idea there was going to be paparazzi and that’s it now,” Kravitz said.

“Here’s the thing about the internet though, that’s the problem – the scarf just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger,” he explained blithely.
Kravitz laughed as Fallon pulled out the original paparazzi photo and seconds later showed a photoshopped image with a scarf so big the “I Want to Get Away” singer’s head could barely be seen.

In an interview for a fashion magazine from May 2023 SnobberyKravitz revealed his eclectic wardrobe and how his late mother, actress Roxie Roker, never judged his clothing choices.
“My friends said, ‘Your mom is going to freak out.’ We were all nervous,” he said of what others thought of his sense of style at first.
However, Kravitz said The Jeffersons the actress looked him “from head to toe” before telling him: “If you’re going to wear that skirt, you need to change your shoes.”
“One thing about my mother, she never judged anyone. She just loved.”
Prior to his interview with Highsnobiety, the “Will You Go My Way” singer arrived at the Oscars 2023 in a black plunging silk shirt that showed off an array of necklaces and chains, including a silver and black cross. He paired the top with wide leg pants with wide straps.
In November, Kravitz’s contribution to style was recognized when the star was presented with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2022 CFDA Awards.

To his credit, he wore leather pants, a wool blazer with cutouts, and a feather boa by LaQuan Smith.
“I reached out to LaQuan after admiring his work for a while and we met in person just a few days ago to catch up,” Kravitz later said Vogue. “We had instant chemistry… I love his vision and look forward to working together in the future. The fact that I’m the first to wear his creations for men is an honor.”

Kravitz may have joined TikTok in a humorous way to celebrate the start of fall, but the musician plans to use the platform in other ways as well. With new music on the horizon, TikTok is the perfect place to spread the word about what’s to come.
