Leslie Phillips’s cause of death
Leslie Phillips passed away on Monday after a lengthy illness. He was not, however, hospitalized at the time of his death. According to his agent, Jonathan Lloyd, Phillips died quietly in his sleep. At the age of 90, he had already had two strokes in six months. When he had his first stroke at their Maida Vale home, his wife Zara sought for medical help. Leslie claimed in an interview with The Sunday Mirror at the time:
“I’m too young to go away just yet.” “I have everything to live for.”
According to reports, Leslie became black and blue after suffering another stroke. Zara was fully aware of Leslie’s health difficulties, especially his skin cancer, and was apprehensive about delaying their honeymoon. In 2013, they married on Christmas. When asked about the honeymoon delay, Leslie informed The Sunday Mirror at the time that he had surgery for a non-cancerous tumor on his face. He said that he needed it removed and went on to say:
“Thank God it’s not cancer.” It simply looks very bad right now, but I’m working on it. We’ve gone to all of the appointments, and the next one will be in a few weeks.”
