Lester is transitioning to a standard NBA contract with Golden State
Lester Quiñones’ contract with the Golden State Warriors was recently changed to a normal NBA contract. Quiñones went undrafted in 2022 and joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Warriors’ G League affiliate, for the 2022-23 season. In October 2022, Quiñones scored an incredible 42 points in one game for the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Warriors offered him a 10-day contract based on his outstanding play, but he did not play for the club.
As a result, he returned to the Santa Cruz Warriors at the end of the season. Quinones re-signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors 15 days later and made his NBA debut on March 31. Prior to joining the Golden State Warriors, Quiñones was named the NBA G League’s Most Improved Player for the 2022-23 season. .
Despite playing minimal minutes, Quiñones showed his skills in 21 games for the Warriors this season. He is averaging 12.8 minutes and 4.9 points per game, shooting 39.1%.
