After three years of dating, Australian star Liam Hemsworth and his girlfriend Gabriella Brooks have reportedly split up. According to unsubstantiated allegations made by a source to news site In Touch, the 32-year-old actor and 26-year-old model called it quits “months ago” due to Hemsworth’s choice to prioritize his work. Brooks is said to be “heartbroken” about it.
The insider went on to say,
“He didn’t want to be tied down, and business has picked up since the outbreak stopped.”
Liam’s relationship with Brooks began shortly after the Hunger Games actor broke up with Miley Cyrus after more than a decade of dating and two years of marriage.

Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks began dating in December 2019 after the pair were spotted having lunch with the 32-year-old actor’s parents, Craig and Leonie Hemsworth. A source told In Touch at the time that Liam Hemsworth’s parents were already impressed with Brooks.
“Gabriella is adored by Craig and Leonie. [They] they believe she is a much better match for their child than Miley.”
Another source stated why the elder Hemsworths adored Gabriella Brooks:
“Not only is Gabriella a stunning and successful model, but she’s also fun, smart and lovely.” You see she loves Liam for the right reasons and doesn’t aspire to his fame and fortune.”
After that, the couple was seen several times in public and even went on private trips. Liam Hemsworth said in May 2020 that he and his girlfriend Gabriella Brooks were in quarantine together when the new coronavirus hit the Earth. The Last Song actor admitted to People magazine that he was living on Australia’s Philip Island when the virus appeared:
“I grew up in a fairly quiet neighborhood. It is peaceful and picturesque. My residence has an ocean view.”

When they weren’t in the water, the actor and Brooks liked to play board games, and his distractions were nostalgic:
“When I was little, I played with my grandmother. She was obsessed with Scrabble. It was nostalgic and brought back memories.”
Hemsworth went public with their relationship on Instagram a few months later, in November 2020, when he uploaded a family photo featuring Brooks. The couple made their official red carpet debut in June 2021 at a charity event for children’s mental health. According to US Weekly, Liam Hemsworth was ready to get married after his divorce from Miley Cyrus.
They noticed:
“Liam looks up to his brothers and aspires to a long-term marriage with his wife one day. He’s ready to get married — he just wants to be sure of his relationship with Gabriella before he gets down on the knee!”
That same year, Gabriella Brooks reported that the couple had returned to Los Angeles from Australia after the coronavirus quarantine was lifted, and she also gave Stellar Magazine a peek into their relationship.
“My personal relationship is very valuable and sacred to me. And in an industry where so much is on display, some things you just want to keep to yourself. [The attraction] it’s perfectly understandable to me. But, in the end, I think I just prefer to have it to myself… But he’s fantastic. [The Hemsworths] are fantastic. They are the most wonderful people and I consider myself lucky to have met them.”
So far, neither side has confirmed the claims addressed to In Touch.
