Liam Payne recorded his last days on social media before his death at the age of 31.
The former One Direction singer fell several stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday, October 16, PEOPLE has confirmed. Police are currently investigating the cause of his death and an autopsy will be performed.
Payne was with former bandmate Niall Horan Performance: Live on tour concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, October 2.

The musician was traveling with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who appeared in various videos from his latest Snapchat posts, which he posted from a friend’s house.

In one of the last videos, which appeared to be from four days ago, Payne wrote “Lovely day in Argentina” and showed himself “enjoying coffee and breakfast” at 1pm with Cassidy.
In another post, the pair posed together for a selfie with the caption “quality time” and a heart emoji.

“We’re going to ride horses. I think I’m going to play polo again, which will put me out of action for about six weeks. Honestly, polo more than anything I’ve ever done athletically, not like I’m playing polo professionally, like I got to have some fun , number one, my swing neck or sledgehammer, I think it’s called,” he told his viewers.
“It hurts a lot. It’s very hard, but we’re enjoying it here,” he added.

Payne expressed concern for his followers affected by Hurricane Milton, telling his fans it was “scary to watch from afar”.
The former One Direction member also teased his Halloween costume by sharing a photo of himself looking off into the distance while sitting in a chair. “Halloween costume idea: Forest Gump,” he wrote.
He ended his series of posts with shots of himself showing off the artwork at a friend’s house.
