During a performance at the Lollapalooza event, American rapper and singer Lil Durk poured smoke in his face. The smoke cannon exploded and hit Lil Durk in the face while he was performing on stage. When the music stopped, he tried to hide his face with his shirt.
The DJ on the microphone addressed the smoke saying:
“Wow, whoa, how are you, bro?” “It flew straight up.”
Durk reacted after taking a few seconds to adjust to his temporary blindness.
“Screw it, no more smoke, let’s get this over with.”
Lil Durk, on the other hand, is taking a break to recover from what happened on stage. The 29-year-old said in a post on social media that he just kept performing for his followers.
The singer captioned a picture of his bandaged eye:
“Due to the situation that happened on stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, I will be taking a year off to focus on my health,” I concluded yesterday’s performance for my fans. I appreciate you.”

More about Lil Durk
Lil Durk is an American rapper and singer who founded the collective and publishing house Only The Family (OTF). The musician rose to fame with the release of the Signed to the Streets mixtape series in 2013 and 2014, after which he signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings. The rapper released his first album, Remember My Name, in 2015, followed by Lil Durk 2X in 2016, before leaving Def Jam in 2018. Durk signed to Alamo Records after releasing a mixtape titled Just Cause Y’all in March Waited 2018.
Durk’s song Viral Moment charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 2020, followed by Just Cause Y’all Waited for 2 in 2020. His concert was followed by Kid Cudi, who was supposed to be the headliner that night, but left in the middle of the show when fans started throwing objects at him.
