Lil Wayne doesn’t hold back his feelings for the wax version of himself.
The 41-year-old rapper (whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) recently shared his thoughts on his wax figure at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
“Sorry, wax museum, but that s— is not me! You tried and I appreciate the effort,” he said wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday.
A wax figure of Lil Wayne has been on display at the Hollywood Wax Museum since at least the summer of 2022, based on when a video of the statue was first posted on TikTok that just now went viral.
Celebrity wax figures you’ll see double
This comes after Dwayne Johnson revealed on Instagram that he recently contacted the Grévin Museum in Paris about changing the skin color of his own wax figure.
On Sunday, the 51-year-old actor retweeted a video of comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. mocking the wax figure, who is a few shades lighter than Johnson. The figure has been criticized since the display was unveiled on October 16.
“I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this rock wax figure on his sights baking 😂💣🔥,” Black Adam the star wrote. “Is this how you felt when you lost the Little Mermaid?” 🤣 Legit belly laughed at this ☝🏾.”

Dwayne Johnson takes over Vegas with a surprise visit from Madame Tussauds fans
He then said: “For the record, my team will be contacting our friends at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France 🇫🇷 so we can work on ‘updating’ my wax figure with some major details and improvements – starting with my skin color 🤣✊🏾 💪🏾.”
“And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop by and have a drink with myself 🥃 😉,” Johnson concluded his caption.
“Dwayne Johnson is correct and we have noticed this and obviously we will correct it as soon as possible and send him new photos after completion,” the Grévin museum said in a statement to Deadline on Monday.
“We are waiting for him when he comes to Paris and the Grévin Wax Museum to celebrate with a cup of champagne,” added the museum.
This week, Travis Barker became the latest celebrity to have a wax doppelganger. The Blink-182 drummer shared a glimpse of his doppelganger at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas on Sunday.
“Come say hello to my clone @madametussaudsusa,” Barker, 47, wrote alongside Instagram photos of himself posing with his wax figure.
