List of centuries recorded by the Indians in the first test match: Test Cricket is known as the backbone of international cricket. Don Bradman is the most successful Test player in Test cricket history. Scoring the century on debut in a Test match is almost every cricketer’s dream.

The test cricket turned 144 this year. The first Test Match was played between Australia and England in March 1877. To date, players have scored 112 centuries in their first Tests.

The first century on debut was scored by Charles Bannerman of Australia on 15 March 1877, while Lala Amarnath was the first Indian player to score a century in his first Test match.

Mohammad Azharuddin is the only player to score centuries in his first three Tests. So far, there are 17 Indian players who have scored centuries in their Test debut.

Virender Sehwag is the only Indian player to hit 300 plus twice in Test matches. Karun Nair and Virender Sehwag are the only players to score three centuries in Test cricket.

Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are the only Indian players to have scored at least a century in all three forms of international cricket.

Shreyas Iyer was the final scorer of the Century in the first Test match, while Lala Amarnath was India’s first.
