The father-daughter duo are just a couple of several musicians who will be featured on the upcoming cover album A light in the attic and friendswhich is scheduled for release on November 24th for Record Store Day / Black Friday.

The album’s first release was Ethan and May’s rendition of Nelson’s song “We Don’t Run”, which was featured on Nelson’s 1996 album. The ghost.

Ethan, 52, shared the news on Instagram, writing that the song has been a “mainstay” in their home since it was released.

Nelson, 90, commented on the post and wrote: “This song is now yours ❤️.”

On the track, Maya, 25 — who makes the music herself — and Ethan take turns on each verse before coming together for a quiet chorus.

Other stars expected to appear on the album include Mac Demarco, Iggy Pop and Angel Olsen. The album aims to highlight “the most unique — and often forgotten — voices in music,” per Board.

Maya released her second studio album Moss in September 2022. Meanwhile, Ethan got involved in music by portraying fictional musical characters in the Seymour: Introduction, Juliet, Gola and Born to Be Blue.

As for Nelson, he recently headlined Farm Aid 2023 at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana. He has also been announced as a performer for the 2024 Stagecoach Festival.

Earlier this year, he spoke to PEOPLE ahead of his 90th birthday, which he celebrated with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
