Lizzie Annis: Zakaleh and Cindriel are heavenly twins, born under the same magical burning star that endowed them with truly extraordinary forms and levels of magic, unbelievably powerful. At the beginning of the series, when we meet Zakaleh and Cindril, their magic heavily comes from Earth. It is deeply connected to the earth; it is deeply connected to the land itself and that is where they draw their power.

This reality changes and evolves as the film evolves and as the world around it changes. We’re going in a slightly different direction, which is really interesting. I think viewers will be really excited to see that develop and how it fits into the world of The Witcher as we know it.

Zach, one of the things that I find really interesting is how many different tribes and conflicting communities are coming together. Did you guys take some introductory classes like High School Movie Montage where they show you all the different boards?

Zach Wyatt: We were so lucky that when we started filming, we went through the design and art department and looked at all the material belonging to the different tribes. Logos, stories; colors and types of banners they can have.

I think we have a big board with a map of the entire continent on it. We may not have an accelerated course, but we do have an introduction. The conversations we had at the beginning, about our characters as heavenly twins, continued throughout the run, so we were constantly drawing on knowledge or knowledge. Our missing knowledge and what we need to fill in the gaps is really important. Of course, there is much more to learn.
