Lizzo Flaunts Slimmed-Down Figure in New Instagram Video: ‘The Booty Is Lifted’

Lizzo is ready for 2024.

On Monday, the singer posted a video of herself looking happy and fit as she models the latest line of shapewear from her lift-tech label YITTY.

“New year, new me. You know what they say, ‘Run, don’t walk?’ Teleport, b—,” Lizzo began the video while wearing YITTY’s new offerings.

The fresh line of shapewear consists of “ultra lift leggings” as well as bras, the latter of which she said features the label’s “new square neck design.” Throughout the video, Lizzo modeled dark blue, burgundy and black sets from the collection.

“Real time capture,” Lizzo continued to narrate as another person helped her put on and adjust the shapewear to her body. “This mother—— technology that grabs and lifts.”

After getting comfortable in her outfit, the singer said “Butt’s up”, before adding “sky high boots”.

To highlight the new outfit’s “ultra lift” technology, Lizzo added: “It looks like we went to the gym, but we didn’t.”

Joking about the scenarios where someone might wear her new shapewear, Lizzo said: “This is where you go to the local shop and you’re like, ‘Can I get some tea?’

Ending the inspirational post, she told fans, “Yes, that’s right. We’re putting ourselves first this year, people. You don’t have to wait to feel like the best version of you. New year, new me in my YITTY.”

Ahead of the new year and yet another YITTY drop, Lizzo has been candid with fans about her self-care and renewed focus on personal health.

“Hi. I’m working on… music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my work and my trust issues in the world… but now they’re deep, deeper than they’ve ever been . Xoxo,” she wrote in an Instagram post with a bathroom selfie in a white robe from Nov. 16.

In May 2023, Lizzo linked a video on TikTok from a user who stated, “Losing weight comes with the territory, but I’m not trying to escape fat”, commenting “Hard at ‘I’m not trying to escape fat'”. Heavy screw you.”

“It’s fun. I love my job,” Lizzo said of the physical activity involved in performing live. “It takes a lot of physical endurance to do what I do, and I used to have a rockstar lifestyle, throwing myself on stage. As I became more professional in my career, I started to take the physical part more seriously.”

Lizzo told PEOPLE for the 2022 cover story of the Women Changing the World issue that she has a “really hot body,” adding that she’s a “body icon” and “embraces it more and more every day.”

The singer admitted that she “may not be one person’s ideal body type like, say, Kim Kardashian may not be someone’s ideal, but she is a body icon and has created a modern standard of beauty. And what It’s me what you are doing is a step forward in my confidence and my power to create my own standard of beauty. And one day it just will be the standard.”
