London Cheshire Looks Back on Love in Video for ‘Really Personal’ New Song ’25/7′ (Exclusive)

Twenty-four-seven is just not enough for a young and in love London Cheshire!

The singer-songwriter, 16, is smitten with a girl in his new music video for his sultry new slow jam “25/7,” which PEOPLE is exclusively premiering.

“’25/7′ is really personal to me,” says Cheshire. “It is the beginning of a story that takes you through the experience of loving someone. So I think it’s perfect for ushering in the new year; it kind of symbolizes a new beginning.”

In the video, we see how Cheshire’s relationship unfolds, from road trips and forest walks to bringing the Christmas tree into the cozy cabin. The star sits in a cabin, watching his memories through a projector.

“I want fans to get back the feeling of really loving someone. I want this song to be something that brings back that spark you felt when you first met the person you thought was right,” he says. “What stuck with me the most is how the song talks about wanting to be with someone so much that you can’t stop thinking about them. I think that can relate to anyone who has ever truly loved someone.”

Cheshire released his debut single “Uncomfortable” in July, a musing on battling social anxieties set to a light Shawn Mendes-esque backbeat.

The star was born and raised in Texas, and her family moved to California when she was 8 years old. His mother plays the piano, which initially inspired his love for music, and he got his first guitar from a neighbor.

“I would ride my bike and watch him play guitar in his garage. And he showed up at my door one day with a guitar, and since then not a day has passed without me playing,” he says. “I grew up listening to the legends — my dad was always impersonating artists like Prince, Elvis [Presley] and Def Leppard. So I studied the greats.”

While Cheshire doesn’t identify with any particular genre — “I don’t like boxes,” he explains — the teenager says his vibe is somewhere between pop, R&B and singer-songwriter, and teases he’s hard at work on a bigger project.

“I believe that good music is good music,” he says. “I would like to touch more genres for the rest of my career.”

Cheshire is also an actor who has appeared in series like Young Sheldon and 9-1-1and a model who has worked with brands such as H&M, Under Armor and Mercedes-Benz.

“I’ve always loved performing, whether it’s music, acting or modeling,” he says. “But I think music is something that can touch people’s souls, and acting is something that can portray them. And as for modeling, I love fashion and I’m glad to be the face of people’s creations.”
