Lori Harvey on ‘Owning’ Her Style: ‘I’ve Gotten More Comfortable in My Skin’ (Exclusive)

Lori Harvey gets candid about taking fashion risks.

The model and entrepreneur, 26, discussed the secret to her body confidence after pulling off several style moments this year — including dressing up as Lara Croft for Halloween and wearing a plunging maxi dress to Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party.

“I think I’ve gotten more comfortable as I’ve gotten older,” Harvey told PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Holiday Distribution 2023 Gala presented by FRAME & Nordstrom at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. “I just have more confidence in who I am. Now I just embrace it. I embrace everything. I take it all in and really own it.”

She also noticed that her style has come a long way from what it was when she was a teenager.

“Honestly, just as I’m growing up, I always look back and say, ‘Wow, I don’t remember that person at all.’ But like, ‘Okay, I like this. And we love growth,’ Harvey said.

While she may be a style connoisseur, the entrepreneur said there are times when she opts for a more casual and casual style, including during the upcoming holiday season. She told PEOPLE she plans to spend the holidays in the United Arab Emirates this year with her parents, Marjorie Harvey and Steve Harvey, siblings, as well as her nieces and nephews.

“I want to feel comfortable, especially because all the kids are coming and they’re going to scare me. They will stick me with stickers. He’s going to want to braid my hair. They will want to do anything, so I’m like let me be relaxed, sweat and then whatever you want,” she explained. “If you want to draw me, whatever, I’m here.”

Last month, Harvey unveiled a new clothing collection called the Lori Harvey x PrettyLittleThing Partywear Collection. She modeled several items in a fashion shoot posted on Instagram with the caption: “My party collection with @prettylittlething is live and ready to shop.”

In the photos, Harvey wore a variety of skin-tight dresses, including a mini dress with a sequined snake print and a V-neckline. She also wore a brown lace mini dress with long sleeves and a black sequin cross top with a matching mini skirt, as well as a purple sequin mini dress.

The collaboration comes a week after she and actor Damson Idris announced they had split after a year of dating.

“We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and commitment,” the former couple said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We part ways remaining friends only with love and respect for each other and the time we spent together.”
