LOVE Island has lost an islander just hours after the new series of All Stars launched on ITV – with Jake Cornish walking out of the villa late last night.
The 26-year-old decided to go home after discovering the public had linked him to former Liberty Poole.

A source said: “Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the mansion – they had no idea the other person was going to be there.
“It was clear from the beginning that they weren’t going to get back together, and then none of the girls wanted to step up for him.
“Jake spent three lovely days at the villa and had a very emotional conversation with Maya Jama.
“Jake couldn’t stay in the mansion so he left the show – it’s not his time and it’s not the right time for him to find love.”
Jake and Liberty met during the seventh series of the dating series, but their romance collapsed just days before the finale.
Last night the former water engineer looked both unimpressed and horrified to learn his fate during the merger.
After Maya Jama broke the news just hours after the launch of All Stars, he raged: “I knew it.”
Speaking about how he felt about reuniting with his former lover, Jake said: “I don’t hate the girl.”
At the same time, Liberty made it clear that she is not interested in Jake as she admitted that she has a crush on Mitch Taylor.
Jake and Liberty were among the first to enter the mansion – leaving Liberty stunned and Jake shaking his head, saying “what are the chances?”.
He told the group that there was “never any bad blood” between him and Liberty and added that they “probably need to talk.”
In the clip, Jake said: “Me and Lib left the show, we didn’t see her, we didn’t talk to her, but I’ve definitely matured a lot. Older, bigger, wiser, better looking.”
Liberty explained in her video: “I was on series seven. I’m probably best known for breaking up with my ex Jake a few days before the finale.”
When Maja asked if there was a chance for reconciliation, they both shook their heads.
Before the show started, The Sun asked show boss Mike Spencer if he thought there was any chance the former couple would get back together.
He said: “I’m secretly hoping, I think it would be good. It would be good to see how they interact.
“That’s what I’m excited to see, if they pick up where they left off. I don’t think they’ve seen each other.
“So I’ll be interested to see that first conversation.”
And Mike admitted he wasn’t worried about how Brummie girl Liberty would react to seeing Jake there.
“No, I don’t think he’ll be upset,” Mike explained. “Liberty is amazing and I think he probably knows there’s a possibility he could come in.
“I don’t know when they last spoke, but I think it will be interesting to see what happens. I think the fans will be excited.”
Love Island All Stars achieved its biggest series launch since summer 2022 with 1.9 million viewers across ITV1 and ITV2 (across devices, including viewing on ITVX).
It had a combined highest viewership of 2.1 million viewers. It also makes it the highest rated 16-34 ad overnight of the year so far.
