Love island games is a difficult beginning for two ex-lovers who now meet face to face after three years apart.
At the end of the premiere episode of the spin-off series — which brings together Island of love contestants from previous seasons airing across the UK, US, Australia, Sweden and France looking for a second chance at love — Island of love USA alum Cely Vazquez got the surprise of her life as she received a blindfolded kiss from her ex Johnny Middlebrooks.
Jonny’s identity remains unknown. From there, Johnny and another new bomb- Love Island UK‘s Megan Barton-Hanson — were escorted out of the mansion after a moment of locking lips.
In Thursday’s episode, the Islanders will find out who the two newcomers are. But in the meantime, PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at Cely and Johnny’s explosive reunion.

“So, to do all that with—, ‘I’m going [on Instagram] Live at 8:00 p.m.,’ blah blah blah,” she says to her ex-partner, who seemed annoyed the whole time. “And then talk all this to… about me, like, instead of calling me and talking to me.”
“I just can’t put into words how shocking it is to me that you think our interactions after that would be cordial or cool after you left the s—.”

In the first episode of the spinoff series, which aired on Wednesday, Cely was among the first group of single girls to enter the mansion. After meeting all the Islanders, the girls were tasked with the first challenge of the series: an obstacle course that they had to complete with the help of a randomly selected boy, with whom they ended up kissing.
Each girl’s time in the challenge determined the order in which they had to choose the boy they wanted to be paired with. Sweden’s Lisa Celander finished the challenge the fastest and chose a pair with Curtis Pritchard from Great Britain. Next up was American Imani Wheeler who chose American Roy Gantt, who admitted he had his eye on her when she first entered the mansion.
Cely was third and teamed up with Britain’s Toby Aromolaran, who she made clear during the challenge was her first choice.
Next was the American Justine Ndiba who chose the British Jack Fowler, while Liberty Poole from Great Britain chose the Australian Callum Hole. Australia’s Jessica Losurdo was the last girl to match and was automatically matched with the only single guy left, France’s Steph Blackos.

However, going into Thursday’s episode, the four couples are in danger as two bombshells, Johnny and Megan, will get the chance to steal one of the girls and boys, respectively, that they kissed at the end of the first episode.
Johnny kissed both Cely and Imani, meaning Toby and Roy are in danger of being single, while Megan kissed Callum and Steph, leaving Liberty and Jessica in danger.
The spinoff series brings new challenges for the competitive Islanders, who are familiar with the romantic ups and downs of the franchise but have never been physically tested before.
To advance in the competition and for a chance to be crowned the first winner of the Love Island Games, the couples will have to connect not only on an emotional level, but also succeed in various team and couple challenges that take place in each episode — in addition to surviving the usual twists and turns that the series always delivers. The winners will go home with a whopping $100,000 in prize money.
