Luann de Lesseps Says She’s Manifesting 2024 to be ‘My Year of Love’: ‘Three Time’s the Charm!’ (Exclusive)

It’s not even Christmas yet, but Luann de Lesseps already has her New Year’s resolution.

The The Real Housewives of New York alumna tells PEOPLE she plans to change her relationship status and settle down next year.

“I’m at my best now when I’m single. But 2024 is obviously going to be my year of love because I’m a hopeless romantic,” says the 58-year-old countess, while promoting her engagement in the Peacock’s Upcoming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy. “Three times the charm!”

Bravo viewers have seen the ups and downs of de Lesseps’ love life over the years.

When RHONY premiered in March 2008, she was married to first husband Count Alexandre de Lesseps, with whom she shares two children: daughter Victoria, 29, and son Noel, 27. But the count filed for divorce in 2009 after 16 years of marriage, leaving de Lesseps is “devastated”.

“I knew we were kind of breaking up, but I was hoping things would work out,” she told PEOPLE at the time, adding that she always assumed they would be “married forever.”

Love helped heal her broken heart, especially in the French wine distributor Jacques Azoulay, who appeared with her on RHONY. “I feel very happy,” she said after meeting Azoulay. “I never thought I’d be lucky enough to find someone like that again in my life.”

The two dated for four years before splitting in 2013. “Jacques and I broke up and it’s really hard,” she said in RHONYthe sixth season. “We argued back and forth for months. He’s my rock, he’s my best friend, [but] we don’t want the same things anymore.”

And there was Tom D’Agostino. After a colleague introduced him RHUGT: RHONY Legacy star Dorinda Medley, the two became engaged just three months later, and de Lesseps confidently announced RHONY that she finally met her “soulmate”.

They would marry on December 31, 2016, in a lavish, three-day celebration in Palm Beach, Florida. But the divorce would follow just 8 months later. “When you love someone, you have the blinders on,” de Lesseps recalled during one episode The Wendy Williams Show. “You fall hard quickly and I’m a very strong person, as many of you know, I’m quite resilient, so I thought I could handle it until I couldn’t anymore.”

Since then, a series of short-lived romances have followed, including one with her agent, Richard Super. And now, de Lesseps wants something more serious. “It’s about time,” she tells PEOPLE on Tuesday. “I think I’ve kissed enough frogs, how about you?”

Her search for love comes at the perfect time for de Lesseps. Next year, he will start a completely new cabaret tour – with a cheeky name Marry, F, kill.

Directed by Richard-Jay Alexander and out now, the series celebrates all things love. “It’s all about marriage, divorce, love, life, reality – it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, because we kick off the tour at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on February 16, two days later,” she says. “So I’m excited!”

He’ll also be debuting a new song, aptly titled “Marry, F, Kill.” De Lesseps says: ‘I wrote the song with Bruce Roberts, who wrote my Christmas song ‘What Do I Want for Christmas.’ So I’m looking forward to everyone hearing it because it’s so different – you’re going to love it.”

Until then, de Lesseps has plenty to keep her occupied. She’s partnered with Uber for a holiday remake of her hit song, “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” a new lyric and music video that now showcases the many ways money can buy a course when you gift on Uber Eats. For those inspired to shop like The Countess, she’s also curated collections on the Uber Eats app, including The Real Housewives themed collections, Cabaret Queens and more.

Later this month, she will return to housewives universe with prime minister RHUGT: RHONY Legacy.

The series reunites de Lesseps with Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Kristen Taekman on a fun-filled trip to beautiful St. Barths, home to one of the most notorious RHONY trips of all time.

“Going back to that house in St. Barth was just surreal,” she tells PEOPLE. “So many things happened in that house, and to come back with the ladies there – and then throw some new ones into the mix – I was nervous. I didn’t know how it was going to play out. But I think we were all in such a great place that we just relaxed and had fun.”

“Sure, we break that fourth wall and get into all that stuff. But the show is really about real friends just enjoying each other,” she says. “And that’s the beauty of it. It’s good, clean fun. It’s not dark, like a lot of these shows can bother me. That’s exactly what we need right now.”
