Wiki/Biography

Luke Bell was born on January 27, 1990, in Lexington, Kentucky, USA (32 years old; as of 2022), and moved to Wyoming with his family when he was 2 years old. He attended Cody High School and graduated from the high school in 2008. Born in Cody, Wyoming, Bell fell in love with music after spending a few years in college in Laramie. He began his musical journey while in college playing at a local bar, where he met singer-songwriter Pat Reedy. In an interview, he talked about the beginning of his musical journey and said:

I went for a couple years and just kind of skipped some classes and a lot of parties… and I just started playing music. There was a bar in Laramie called the Buckhorn, and there was a really great community there, and I started a little band. This was the first time I had a band, and I did it for a while. I had a lot of fun, but I don’t know, I just quit and left. “

Music led him to spend time in Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana. In 2011, he moved to Austin and formed a rock band called Fast Luke and the Lead Heavy, which occasionally performed at the Hole in the Wall bar near the University of Texas campus. At Hole in the Wall, a bartender named Dennis O’Donnell allowed Luke to perform on stage from time to time. In an interview, Luke talked about Denis O’Donnell and said,

I hung out there every day for about six days, pestering Dennis O’Donnell, the bartender, until he said, ‘Okay, kid, come on in, while I was setting up the chairs at 3 p.m. Play 3 songs. ‘

The band had a residency there every day from three to five, but was eventually criticized for playing too loud and eventually fired. He lived in Austin for two years and recorded his self-titled debut album, then spent time on the streets of New Orleans before returning to Wyoming in his 1995 Buick LeSabre and his stray pit bull.
