Lupita Nyong’o Attends The Color Purple Premiere After Going Public with Joshua Jackson Romance

Lupita Nyong’o serves glam!

The actress stepped out on Wednesday night in Los Angeles for the film’s premiere Purplewearing a long-sleeved sheer midi dress over what appeared to be a black ensemble consisting of a bra and high-waisted panties.

Posing on the purple carpet with a beaming smile, Nyong’o, 40, completed her look in black pumps with pointed tops and understated jewellery, also with purple nails.

The Our star’s appearance came a day after she and Joshua Jackson were photographed holding hands earlier in the day as they strolled through Joshua Tree, California, confirming their romance.

Both Nyong’o and Jackson, 45, were dressed in comfortable outfits for their outing in Joshua Tree on Tuesday, with the actress wearing yellow sweatpants and a green and white striped long-sleeve shirt that read: “It’s okay to cry .”

As for Jackson, Dawson’s Creek alum was seen wearing a gray cap, a white turtleneck and a pair of brown sweatpants, a black jacket tied around his waist.

The two appeared to be enjoying each other’s company as they walked side by side and smiled while holding hands.

Representatives for Jackson and Nyong’o did not respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment on Wednesday.

Their latest public outing came hours after the pair were spotted leaving LA’s Erewhon Market on Tuesday. In October, Jackson and Nyong’o were seen again attending a Janelle Monáe concert in LA with friends.

Earlier that month, Jackson’s wife of more than three years, Jodie Turner-Smith, filed for divorce. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation. The exes have one child together: daughter Juno, born in April 2020.

A source told PEOPLE at the time of the split news that it was Turner-Smith’s idea to end the relationship after the actress, 37, “decided she was done.”

As for Nyong’o, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever the actress was romantically linked to Selem Maseke. They went public with their relationship in December 2022.

Nyong’o announced their breakup on Instagram the same day that photos of her at a Monáe concert were released.
