Lydian Nadhaswaram was born on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 (15 years old in 2020) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His star sign is Virgo. Lydian began his musical journey at a very young age, showing an interest in music at the age of 3. He used xylophone sticks to produce a beat that was considered a 3/4 time signature by professional drummers. Lydian’s father saw his potential and began teaching him at a young age, but due to the long hours of practice, he was home-schooled.

At the age of four, Lydian began morning training under music educator and drummer Maynard Grant. Lydian’s older sister, Amirtha Varshini, began piano lessons, and the two would take lessons together. By the age of eight, Lydian had performed over 600 shows with his father. After witnessing his father playing the piano, Lydian decided to take up piano and enrolled at the KM Music Academy, an institution of higher learning for classical and western music. He stayed there for four years before participating in the CBS talent show “The World’s Best,” where he won an award.

- Lydian Nadhaswaram’s name was also inspired by music. His name Lydian means musical scale in western culture. His surname “Nadhaswaram” is also the name of a musical instrument that is used in temple ceremonies and weddings as it is considered very sacred and auspicious.

Lydian made her acting debut on 4 September 2020 in the musical film Atkan Chatkan. The film was produced by AR Rahman and released on the online streaming platform ZEE5.
