Machine Gun Kelly Debuts Two-Tone Hair at 2024 People's Choice Country Awards as He Attends Without Megan Fox

Machine Gun Kelly brought a major hair change to the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards!

On Thursday, September 26, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter performed solo at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. And while many were hoping for a style couple moment from him and Megan Fox, the musician’s appearance did not disappoint.

MGK went all punk rock in a black leather vest paired with high-waisted pleated pants, short button-up sleeves that showed his tattooed sleeves, a skinny “LV” tie, and two-twos of blonde and black hair that served as a nod to Cruella de Vil.

Kelly was announced earlier this week as a 2024 PCCA performer, along with Brad Paisley. The stars joined an already stacked lineup of performers including Kane Brown, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerina, Lady A, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum and The War and Treaty.

The musician’s appearance at the awards comes after he crossed over stateside collaborating with Jelly Roll on their song “Lonely Road” — for which Fox starred in the music video — and releasing a cover of The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble.”

Kelly’s solo appearance at the PCCA event comes after reports of bumps in their relationship earlier this year. In March, a source close to the couple — who began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in January 2022 — told PEOPLE that “one day they’re up, the next they’re down.”

The same source also told PEOPLE that the headline-making pair’s intensity “is still there almost four years into their relationship, but it’s not necessarily ‘healthy.’ ”

Although the couple have since made public appearances together, they have not spoken publicly about the current status of their relationship.

However, in March Fox said on Call her dad podcast that she knows will “always be connected [Kelly] somehow.”

After telling host Alex Cooper, “I have no comment on the relationship status, per se,” she gave a more detailed statement about the pair’s relationship.

“What I can say, that [he is] what I call my twin soul, and there will always be a connection with him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to it somehow,” Fox said at the time. “Besides, I’m not willing to explain.”

PCCA 2024 will air live on Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
