Machine Gun Kelly Shows Off Wood Carving Project Dedicated to His and Megan Fox's Lost Pregnancy

Machine Gun Kelly shares a very special wood carving project with her fans — and opens up about the personal meaning behind the handcrafted work.

On Thursday, May 23, the rapper (whose real name is Colson Baker), 34, shared a video on TikTok featuring footage of himself working on a handmade Norwegian-style miniature ship, complete with oars and a sail.

After presenting the project, he edited together a series of clips showing him carving a block of wood, shaping it with various tools and finishing it with wood varnish before adding sails and oars.

“I just finished the ship,” he said in the final clip. “These are the final details of the ship.”

In the description, the musician and actor revealed the meaning of the piece – apparently dedicating it to the baby he and fiancée Megan Fox lost during her pregnancy.

“My first wood carving. For a special soul to be found again,” he wrote in the caption, adding a heart and hand emoji.

Fans in MGK’s comments section were extremely supportive of the project and praised his work, and also offered their support nearly seven months after Fox, 38, revealed she had a miscarriage in her book of poetry, Nice guys are toxic.

“Hope you find the peace you deserve bro,” wrote one commenter.

“Please carve more. Watching this was so therapeutic,” chimed in another fan.

Another person commented below the video: “There is something so therapeutic about working with your hands on a special project.”

Fox reflected on her miscarriage in her book, writing, “Maybe if you hadn’t… maybe if I had…”

Elsewhere, she wrote, “I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh,” and later, “but now / I have to say / goodbye.” The second sentence is about imagining holding the baby “while you are being ripped from my womb.”

In May 2022, MGK dedicated his song “Twin Flame” to Fox at the Billboard Music Awards, stating at the time, “And this is for our unborn child.”

MGK is father to 14-year-old daughter Casie Colson Baker, who he shares with ex Emma Cannon, and Fox is mother to three sons, Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

In an interview with Good morning America last fall, Fox talked about miscarriage being something she went through with MGK.

“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” she said. “I have three kids, so it’s been really hard for both of us and it’s sent us on a very wild journey together and apart… trying to figure out, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did it happen?’ ”
