MAFS: Orion Admits Divorce ‘Feels Strange’ While Lauren Gets Real About Her ‘Pain’ and ‘Resentment’ (Exclusive)

Orion and Lauren’s decision to divorce affected them both in very different ways.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode Married at first sightOrion talks about the factors that led him to ask for a divorce from Lauren.

“I’m divorced now,” Orion muses as he confides in a friend over a drink. “It feels weird, but you know… what I was saying is, you know, losing romantic interest, I feel like it would be really unfair to still be with one foot in the other.”

Although his family members are upset about the way things “played out” between the former couple, Orion says his mother and his sister are “more disappointed that I didn’t get what I wanted out of this process.”

In her own conversation with her loved ones, Lauren admits that “divorce wasn’t really my choice,” although she “definitely supports his decision.”

“I feel like I’ve gone through all the emotions at this point,” she says of how she dealt with their divorce. “You know, my favorite form of defense is humor, so I felt like I definitely attacked him with a lot of humor. And I was angry, and I was sad, and then I was angry again. And then I said, ‘Okay, let it go. me to sit in these emotions.'”

Knowing that “anger” is a “very surface level” emotion, Lauren explains, “I just wanted to feel all the feelings and it was very uncomfortable.”

“I think what I feel the most is just a lot of pain and a lot of anger,” she adds.

In last week’s episode Married at first sightOrion filed for divorce during therapy after revealing he no longer wanted to be with Lauren following their disagreements over intimacy.

“Just because of everything that’s happened, everything that’s happened, I’ve lost all romantic interest,” he admitted before Lauren brought up her role in their marital struggles.

“I feel so terrible that I made you lose your romantic attraction to me because I kept my romantic attraction to you through this,” she admitted. “But if you don’t feel you have it in you to do it, I don’t want to twist your arm. I don’t want to force you to stay with me.”
