She spent her childhood in Karachi and after completing her education, she moved to Australia to further her education. She entered Monash University in Melbourne, Australia to study for a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Macroeconomics. She also received a diploma in business administration. While studying there, she also collaborated with professional musicians as a member of the church choir. Maha Ali grew up listening to classical music by Antonio Vivaldi and Beethoven, and developed a keen interest in music from an early age. At the age of 16, she joined an underground band in Karachi and began writing songs for them. It was her father who introduced her to an extensive music collection. From Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs to Lata Mangeshkar’s songs.

After completing her studies, Maha Ali returned to Karachi and auditioned for Cornetto Music Icons. Kazmi was selected as a backup singer for the show ARY Digital, where she got the opportunity to work with singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Azmat and Aamir Zaki.

Maha Ali Kazmi made her debut in 2013 with the single “Nazar” produced by Overload Band. The song was a huge hit with the audience and Kazmi became a household name in both Pakistan and India.
