Ban Pakistani Actors
After the 2016 Uri attack, the Indian Film Producers Association (IMPPA) and the Indian Film Producers Association decided to ban all Pakistani actors and technicians from working in Bollywood. As a result, Mahira was not allowed to promote her film Raees in India. Her co-star Shah Rukh Khan issued a statement saying that she will not be allowed to promote the film in India.
